Midday Update

Jan spent an uneventful first night in her new home in B5 ICU.

She continues to run a fever, and the team has been stymied so far in discovering where the infection is. They are continuing to investigate. We are continuing to pray.

We've been told that Jan will be checked today to see if she is able to swallow properly yet. If she is (and she may not be), they will try giving her something by mouth.

More later.

I am encouraged to hear that Jan has a change of address in the hospital but more encouraged to hear that she is still getting very good care at the hospital. Jan is being held in prayer by many friends who don't even know her but through our friendships with others and the impact of hearing her story, they are lifting their voices in prayer also. The community is praying for its own.

I am saddened to hear of the infection, but perhaps this is just the side effect of recovery. I am so proud of Jan for her courage and to Fede, Steve, Sue and your families for your faithfulness and trust in God. May God continue to bless you all richly as you spend time caring for Jan.

Progress is progress and it has been said that every journey begins with a single step. However at times there will be two steps forward and one step back. I praise God for Jan's responsiveness thus far and pray that God's healing and grace would continue to touch her.

God bless you all,
love and prayers,

What a change in events over the past few days. Jan, I am so proud of how hard you are fighting and how much you've accomplished. I know that everything must be a whirlwind right now and I pray that you will be in God's presence throughout this healing process. I also pray for the nurses and doctors in thanksgiving that they have facilitated this journey. I pray that you continue to have caring, competent individuals to care for you.

Bless your family and friends for all of the love and support. I can't wait to come and visit you when you are well enough. Praise God for your progress.

As for the infection, I pray that God will give the Dr.s and nurses wisdom into how to treat it and I also pray that you are not in pain.

My Dear Jan

I continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers through each and every day. I feel sad but also encouraged at the signs of progress. I feel closer to you when I pray when I remember your beautiful smile. Your Millette Home Church group is praying for your recovery. Specifically today I will pray for the fever/infection to leave your body and that God will keep you in His healing hands.

Until later my friend

Love Rozanne
