A sign of progress!

This morning, Jan twice responded to verbal commands, opening an eye and looking directly at the speaker! In the first case, the speaker was Fede. Imagine his delight!

Although the rest of the day passed uneventfully, this is the first sign we have seen of a conscious reaction from Jan, and we are so grateful for it.

We continue to be amazed and thankful for your overwhelming response and outpouring of caring and prayer. Thank you!

Please continue to pray for progress in Jan's condition, if it's God's will, and for continued strength and peace for the family.

Jan, Steve, Fede & Family:

Praise God for this good news! I continue to pray for healing. I also pray that Jan and her family would be filled with the presence of God to overflowing over the next several days.

"While the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and laying His hands on each one of them, He was healing them." -Luke 4:40

That is wonderful news. I hope and pray for continued progress.

Several years ago, Jan gave me a notebook as a gift "to capture your thoughts in". Flipping through it the other night, I found this comment, dated Feb 2003: "God never says goodbye".

I know we're supposed to pray for God's will rather than our own, but I have been finding that difficult this week because my own will keeps getting in the way - my will would be for a successful recovery and a restoration of health, peace, comfort, for Jan, and for all her family and friends.

I feel the glint of a miracle there.

God's grace and healing power on Jan and Fede and families.

FYI... we're getting the word out.

From a friend:
'...Jan and Fede. Just so you know... they have been added to the prayer list of the World
Vision Research Department.'

From another:
'My {husband} Jack had a brain aneurism about 30 years ago - it was so small they couldn't find it to operate. At that time the treatment was 4 weeks flat on your back in St. Mike's with no stimulation whatsoever. We were lucky - the only damage that was evident was vision and slight short term memory loss. It is a frightening time for the whole family. We pray that things heal well.'

God be with you all with our love and thoughts.

Dear Jan and Fede,

Such wonderful news!
Praise God!!!

Psalm 139:11-18
If I say, "Surly the darkness shall cover me, and the light around me become night."
even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light to you.
For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; that i know very well.
My frame was not hidden from you, when i was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes beheld my unformed substance.
In your book were written all the days that were formed for me, when none of them as yet existed.
How weighty to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! I try to count them - they are more than the sand;
I awake - I am still with you.
