Serenade at D57

Tonight, Jan got a serenade by the Symmetry Singers of Saint RUC of the Fields. This is the group Jan has led before, now they came to share with us beautiful music and lots of happy smiles. Jan was thrilled, her joy was overflowing. Everyone was enveloped by the magic of the music and the misterious bonds that music can develop between people.

At some point, Jan was marking the rythm and laughing because the musicians were not in step!

What a gift tos ee Jan so happy.

Thanks to the singers, the players and the one who didn't do much but were present to enjoy the moment.

Hello Jan and Fede.
Jan your smile and laughter tonight lit up the room. It was so exhilerating and amazing to be there to sing with the gang for you tonight. I love that you were keen to jump in and conduct us when our rhythm was off. Some things never change! You always have it right.

I was very grateful to see you for the first time since all of this has gone on. You look beautiful and your smile and laugh not only lit up the room by my heart also. Praise God!

I will come back again and sing for you again. Think of some requests!

Love to you and Fede both tonight.

many blessings. Tonight my cup and heart are overflowing.

Hola Jan y Fede,

Make a joyful noise all the earth, worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing....(psalm 100).

What a treat to make a joyful noise with you last night!!!

I thank God for the time of singing, prayer, and laughter that we spent with you last night. I thank God for Marianna and for her beautiful expression of love and prayer for you and our community.

I am reminded of the "Beatitudes for Family and Friends" which may have had it's roots in the L'Arche community (author unknown)...

Blessed are you who take time to listen to difficult speech,
For you help us to persevere until we understand.

Blessed are you who walk with us in public places and ignore
the stares of strangers,
For we find havens of relaxation in your companionship.

Blessed are you who never bid us to “hurry up, and more
blessed are you who do not snatch our task from our hands to
do them for us,
For often we need time, rather than help.

Blessed are you who stand beside us as we enter new and
untried ventures, For the delight we feel when we surprise
you outweighs all the frustrating failures.

Blessed are you who ask for our help, For our greatest need is to be needed.

Dear Jan,

I am thrilled to hear of the joy and laughter you experienced with the singers. It reminds me of 2 weeks ago when I visited you & your friend from RUC played the violin. You were laughing & attempting to sing along, off course in rhythm!! The joy filled my soul & heart to see the peace music brings to your life.

I look forward to seeing you soon & sharing many more happy memories!
Love
Sharon
